I have just bought a set of procelain markers for drawing onto glazed work, they actually just fire in your oven @200 degrees for forty mins, as i have always enjoyed drawing and using imagery on my clay work I am really enjoying these. Recently, I have been taking images from my sketchbook at explring how they would look on ceramic serfaces. The above is based on the book 'Oranges Are not the Only  fruit' By jeanette Winterson.

sketchbook work 4th year

I am looking at sexual identity this year, particularly gay identity and culture. I began by drawing interest from a few different elements on the topic. My latter stages of research have led me to the idea of secret keeping and hiding personal information. This angle is one that i feel is strongly related to my theme, but is also something all types of people can relate to. At one point or another surely everyone has tried to conceal the truth for some reason or another?
